The total weight of all campers rented by Kemperija is up to 3500 kg, therefore, anybody having B category driving license can drive our campers. Campers are considerably large vehicles, therefore, it is recommended that they are driven by a person having at least 3 years of driving experience.

Average weight of a camper is about 2800-3000 kg, therefore weight of the passengers and their luggage may usually amount to 500-700 kg.

Different camper rent companies include different items into camper rent price. Before you agree to rent a camper, we recommend paying attention if the items listed below are included into the rent price of a camper. The following is included into the rent price offered by Kemperija:

  • preparation of the vehicle for the trip and instructions prior to departure;
  • all-risks insurance with 600€deductible;
  • unlimited mileage;
  • GPS navigation;
  • outdoor furniture;
  • bicycle holders;
  • full gas bottle and water tank;
  • parking of your vehicle during the trip;
  • trip planning advice and sharing of invaluable travel experience.
Vacancy of campers in different seasons is different. The biggest interest in rent of the campers is in late spring, summer and early autumn. If you are planning to go on a trip during high season, we recommend reserving a camper 3 – 4 months in advance. If it is the last minute when you decide to go on a trip during high season, please call us anyway as sometimes plans of our clients change and reservation of the camper is cancelled. It is quite difficult to predict vacancy of campers during other seasons, therefore we recommend reserving them as soon as you decide about the dates of your trip.
All our campers are insured with third party liability insurance (green card) and all-risks insurance, valid in all Europe (except Ireland, Great Britain and Cyprus, i.e. countries where the traffic is on the left side).

Outside of the borders of Europe, in Ireland, Great Britain and Cyprus these insurance policies are valid partially or not valid at all, therefore the traveller will have to insure at its expense. Taking into account the condition of the roads of certain non-European countries, we do not recommend travelling there by camper or without a vehicle specially prepared for the trip.

The following items are in a camper:

  • GPS navigation;
  • full gas bottle and water tank;
  • water hose for filling water tank;
  • electricity cables to connect to 220V in a camping or elsewhere;
  • special WC liquid;
  • thermo-mats for windows;
  • outdoor furniture: chairs and table;
  • wheel levellers for ensuring horizontality of a camper;

There is no bedding (pillows, blankets and sheets), dishes and cutlery in the campers, however, we propose renting them additionally.

There is 11 kg gas bottle in the camper. During different seasons the gas bottle is emptied within different time. Consumption of gas depends on the length of driving and frequency of using camping that has connection to electricity, intensity of cooking and heating of a camper. If gas is used for cooking only, it lasts 3 – 4 weeks, in case of very frequent cooking – 2 weeks. If gas is used for cooking and heating: i) if the temperature outside is not lower than 5 degrees Celsius – 1 week, ii) if the temperature outside is lower than 0 degrees Celsius – 3 – 4 days. Refrigerator uses some gas when camper is not driven and not connected to electricity.
Capacity of water tank of the camper is 100 l. We do not recommend drinking water from the water tank, therefore we suggest taking additional water suitable for drinking to the trip.
Yes, with certain limitations. Electricity voltage in the camper is 12 V. Every camper of Kemperija has voltage converter from 12 V to 220 V, so that you could use PC, recharge your telephone or camera battery in the camper. If the camper is connected to electricity in the camping, you may use at least one outlet with 220 V installed in the camper.

There are two batteries in a camper. One for the vehicle, the other – for living space. Battery of the living space is used for lighting, pressure of water and other equipment. If you drive at least 200 km every day, it is enough to recharge the battery of the living space, otherwise, the camper has to be connected to electricity. If you plan to stay not in the camping facility, we recommend doing it every second evening or nearby water deposit due to limited water tank (100 l). Please note that parking of a camper at night may be prohibited or restricted in some places, thus, please pay attention to road sighs.

Bedding, dishes and cutlery

There is no bedding (pillows, blankets and sheets), dishes and cutlery in the campers, however, we propose renting them additionally. When reserving a camper or later, please ask the representative of Kemperija and he will make sure that the camper is handed to you with the bedding, dishes and cutlery.

Usually ferry tickets for campers are more expensive than ferry tickets for cars, as ferry companies take into account height and/or length of a vehicle. However, usually ferry tickets for campers are not much more expensive than ferry tickets for cars.
In Western Europe the camping network is very wide, therefore, you should not have problems when looking for a camping during the trip. If requested, we may help with finding a camping in the places you want to stay or lend camping catalogues of certain regions we possess.
